Rhiannon and Russell tied the knot in a garden venue called The Springs. Their magical day featured a classic garden theme and a lot of greenery with pops of turquoise, cream, gold, champagne, and blush.

My husband, Russell, and I chose The Springs in New Braunfels, in Stonehaven Hall. Before we chose The Springs, we'd a different venue in your mind that was nearer to home. I had my heart set on it, however, when we continued the tour, I found out that there was no spot for my groom to organize while and my wedding party had a lavish on-site cabin. That just didn't sit right beside me. It's his day, too! Upon touring The Springs and seeing the gorgeous wedding couple "getting ready" suites among The Springs' other gorgeous features, I was sold. It meant a great deal to me he would feel special on our day!

Do I need to pick only one?! It was the best day of my entire life. I loved exchanging handwritten vows with my groom before our most treasured family and friends. I loved using a "first look" with my father and surprising my mom by having a mother-daughter dance. Most of all, I loved the sensation of overlooking Russell during the day and thinking, "I am the luckiest woman alive at this time!

We decided to have our wedding around the first Monday of Spring Break. Most of our family and friends (including myself as a college student!) had the vacation automatically off AND having our wedding on the weekday meant crazy savings around the cost of our venue. The savings are taken care of by our entire flower budget! Also, incorporate your future partner within the planning process. I think it's not hard to get swept away within this crazy realm of glitter and tulle that people have imagined for years, bear in mind that it is their day, too!
