Locking head screws are designed to have a threaded head that locks into the hole in the corresponding plate while allowing stable fixation. When the screw is applied, it locks at 90 degrees angle without compressing the plate against the bone. Used for the surgical treatment of different types of fractures, these screws are made having a self-tapping end hence, no pre-drilled hole is required during application.
