An April Wedding in Somerset having a Relaxed Vibes

We're on Somerset for any simple, relaxed wedding held on the gloriously hot April weekend in 2019.

The hot and sunny day meant the pair and their intimate number of guests could celebrate within the beautiful gardens and estate of Hauser Wirth, by having an overriding theme of elegant simplicity, trailing foliage, relaxed vibes, and great drink and food.

"I knew I wanted something easy and timeless and I just loved the effortless type of this ball gown wedding dress. It was relatively loose-fitting which meant I could be comfortable and move on your day."

Giulia and Chris met at university over 10 years ago and Chris proposed on vacation in Ghent for Giulia's birthday in December 2017.

"We were on a single course and were within the same friendship group for a couple of years before we got together. We both fancied one another from the first day but had other partners at that time."

"My birthday card would be a series of fifteen cards with various memories, photos, and memorabilia from your life with the last one popping the question. We were engaged for around ten months before beginning to plan the marriage and then planned it in five months."

The couple's ceremony occurred at Rook Lane Chapel in Frome and would be a blend of English and Italian traditions. It has been so beautifully decorated using flowers from the local flower wholesaler and ivy picked from Chris's parents' garden. Oh, so that as a talented designer, it had been only natural for the groom to design the stationery suite himself. Go

Chris donned a smartly-cut suit together with his dad's vintage gold tie clip and cuff links and a set of shoes.

His tie in deep burgundy perfectly matched the bride-to-be's wild bouquet of burgundy and white blooms with deep green foliage, developed by Frome.

"Having everyone you like together in one location, rooting for you is the most overwhelming feeling. I'm not just one of those people who always wanted to be at a white wedding so wasn't sure what to anticipate but when the doors opened towards the aisle and I saw everyone looking back at me, I felt this type of wave of emotion. I have close family in Italy and Australia so having everyone together was pretty special."

After the pair had been pronounced man and wife, they emerged into the hot April sunshine to some shower of confetti. Then, it had been on to gallery Hauser Wirth for that dinner reception and relaxing within the sun-drenched gardens.

Toasts and speeches were held outside before the party and moved inside for lunch on long tables scattered with cacti, that have been favored by his or her guests.

"Little cacti were utilized to decorate the tables. We bought them in the flower wholesaler and set them in cute little glasses as pots."

For their wedding cake, the pair had chosen a celebration wedding cheese tower from which, after it had been cut, Chris and Giulia took towards the dance floor for their first dance. The music was supplied by DJ Paul who also is the farmer of Roth Bar Grill.

"'1901' by Phoenix is a song both of us love and thought it might be fun to bop to it."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Ensure that you get a bit of alone time together. It's difficult to find the time and also the day just flies by. We drove back in the chapel towards the party venue together also it allowed us 20 minutes to pinch ourselves in the fact we'd just be a Mr and Mrs."
